Sarah Winton, PhD Candidate(LSE 2026), has won the Standard Error Best Paper Prize for her paper, “Refugees’ Right to Work: Efficiency and Equity in Host Country Labor Markets.” The research finds that Jordan’s 2016 policy granting Syrian refugees work authorization increased overall output by 10.9% and raised Jordanians’ average wages by nearly 1%.
