[CHICAGO, IL, April 24] Announcement
Standard Error Research Editors is pleased to announce that French organizational economist Olivier Simard-Casanova of the University of Lorraine will join founder Samantha Eyler-Driscoll as a junior partner in the growing enterprise.
After ending FY2024 with strong performance driven by contractual agreements with top economics departments in the US and individual researchers on six continents, Standard Error has turned its sights to Europe with the aim of cultivating new business among continental research institutions.
“I’ve loved helping the company frame its messaging and grow its online presence and brand recognition over the past year. Samantha is a renowned editor, an impressive entrepreneur and a great person to work with, I immediately said yes when she offered me to become a partner. I’m excited to take a more central role in Standard Error’s business development to help the company cater to the needs of Europe-based researchers,” commented Simard-Casanova.
Simard-Casanova has served as Standard Error’s consulting editor since 2024. As partner, he will represent the company as it moves to build on its relationships with researchers in European institutions.
“Olivier is an enthusiastic networker and skilled scientific communicator, and he brings a wealth of institutional knowledge about both the world of economics research and the higher education sector in Europe,” said founder Eyler-Driscoll. “He’s added so much value as our consulting editor over the past year that it was natural to offer him a partnership as we pivot abroad.”
